Note: You can list two programs on your application, in order of preference.

APPLY FOR ADMISSION (Deadline: March 1)

Our online application form is now mobile-friendly! (Applications open October 1)

Start Your Application

You can apply early using your final Grade 11 marks, then submit your final Grade 12 marks once they become available.

Paper Application

If you are unable to submit your application online, you may submit a paper/PDF application form. Applicants to Campus Saint-Jean may submit the Campus Saint-Jean PDF application form.

CHECK YOUR UALBERTA EMAIL

Once you submit your application, you’ll be assigned a new UAlberta email address, as well as a unique student number and a Campus Computing ID (CCID). Going forward, this is the email address we’ll use to correspond with you.

LOG IN TO BEAR TRACKS

Bear Tracks is our online student service system. Log in to check your Admission Status and To-Do List, register in courses, and much more. Watch your email for instructions on how to log in.

Accept your offer


SECURE YOUR PLACE AT THE U OF A

Once you receive an admission offer, you’ll need to accept your offer and pay a non-refundable $500 tuition deposit by the deadline stated in Bear Tracks.

Register in courses


BUILD A DRAFT SCHEDULE

Before course registration opens, you can build a draft schedule in Bear Tracks. This will allow you to browse course options and develop a weekly timetable that works. Then, once course registration opens, you’ll be able to enroll with ease.

REGISTER FOR FALL AND WINTER TERMS

Course registration will open in the spring (check Bear Tracks for details). Get into the classes you want by accepting your admission offer and being among the first to enrol!

ATTEND A REG 101 WORKSHOP

You must ensure that all supporting documents required for your application are received by the deadline. Check Bear Tracks for more details. Learn more »

Alberta high school students: When you apply through ApplyAlberta, your Alberta high school transcripts will be sent to the University automatically on your behalf.

Out-of-province students: You are responsible for ensuring that your transcripts are sent to and received by the University. They will not be obtained automatically.

RENEW YOUR STUDY PERMIT

International students attending high school in Canada: You must obtain a new study permit for post-secondary studies, even if you already have a study permit for high school. Learn more »
