Info Sessions
InfoSessions are an opportunity for high school students to meet faculty representatives and learn about what UAlberta has to offer.
InfoSessions provide prospective students the opportunity to:
- Learn about programs, admission requirements, scholarships, residence, student life and more
- Meet with faculty representatives and gather publications
School Visits
UAlberta representatives visit schools throughout Alberta to chat about the University of Alberta with prospective students.
School Visit events allow attendees to:
- Meet with UAlberta faculty representatives and learn about programs and services
- Learn about residence, scholarships and applying to UAlberta
- Get your UAlberta viewbook
- Ask questions and get answers about UAlberta
Early Admission Workshops
Early Admission Workshops provide prospective students in Grade 12 the opportunity to:
- Apply online with the help of University of Alberta representatives—qualified students will receive early admission on the spot!
- Talk to university representatives about admission requirements
Parent Nights
These events are dedicated to allowing parents of prospective students to learn about programs, requirements and more at UAlberta.
Attend a Parent Night event to:
- Meet with University of Alberta representatives
- Get a UAlberta Parent Booklet
- Have questions answered by University of Alberta representatives
Aboriginal Discovery Days
Students will have the opportunity to learn about the programs UAlberta has to offer, tour the campus and residence and hear from current undergraduate students.
At this event prospective students will:
- Learn about our programs and admission requirements
- Tour our campus and student residence
- Hear from current students about their experience at UAlberta
Rural Discovery Days
Students will have the opportunity to learn about the programs, awards and services UAlberta has to offer, take a tour of campus and residence, and have a chance to speak with new people from other rural communities, current UAlberta student, faculty members and services staff.
At this event prospective students will:
- Learn about University of Alberta undergraduate programs, housing, awards and services
- Get advice about university life from current undergraduate students from rural areas
- Speak with faculty and service representatives
- Tour Lister Centre and the University of Alberta North Campus
- Meet new people from other rural communities
- Win great prizes including UAlberta apparel
Registration 101 Workshops
Need help registering for your first year classes? Registration 101 Workshops offer grade 12 students who have received Early Admission the opportunity to:
- Learn more about our online Bear Tracks system, including how to search for university classes, add/drop classes and build a timetable
- Receive a Registration 101 Tip Sheet from your faculty of choice which will outline the courses you are required to take in your first year of university, and throughout your degree
- Meet UAlberta representatives and have all of your registration questions answered
Online Group Chats
Online group chats (once a month, 7–9 p.m. MST) allow students to ask real-time questions to University of Alberta Student Advisors, as well as representatives from Residence Services, Awards, and more!
