The University of Alberta is pleased to offer admission to International students studying in Canada and abroad. For more information, please visit our International Admissions website.
For international students who are studying or have completed high school outside of Canada.
International students currently studying high school in Canada (also known as Maple Leaf students) are expected to meet the entrance requirements specified for that province:
Applicants who have completed some post-secondary studies either within or outside of Canada.
Applicants who have completed a previous university degree and wish to enrol in further undergraduate courses.
Applicants who are currently enrolled in a full-time undergraduate program at another university and want to attend the University of Alberta for one term or one academic year as a visiting student.
The University of Alberta is pleased to offer the Bridging Program to qualified applicants who need to improve their English Language Proficiency. This program is unique in Canada and provides students the opportunity to combine university degree courses with English for Academic Purposes (EAP) classes.
For other study programs—including graduate, exchange, English language studies and short-term studies—please see the Study at UAlberta page on the international site.
Admission requirements to undergraduate programs will vary according to your chosen program of study and the curriculum you are currently studying.
