Off campus

Calgary advising sessions - We’ll be in Calgary to answer all of your questions! Discuss your options with a UAlberta Advisor at our Calgary Centre (120, 333 5 Ave SW) in a one-on-one advising session. Stay tuned for 2018 dates!

School visits - We visit high schools across the country where you can learn more about the university, pick up a Viewbook, and get answers to your questions! Find out when we will be at your school »

Post-secondary fairs - We also attend post-secondary fairs across Canada with organizations like Education Liaison Association of Alberta (ELAA), Canadian Universities Events (CUE), and Maclean Student Life Expo. Please contact your school counsellor for more information about events near your high school.


Application Workshops - We’re here to help you apply to the U of A! Grade 12 students are invited to attend an Application Workshop. You will be guided through the application process to help you complete and submit an online application for admission. Advisors will provide information on programs and help answer all of your questions. Find out when we’re in your city »

Registration 101 Workshops - Registration 101 (or “Reg101”) Workshops allow students to attend a formal presentation outlining how to navigate the Bear Tracks system for the purpose of course selection and registration, build a first-year schedule, and ask UAlberta representatives registration questions. RSVPs are required to attend Reg 101 Workshops.

Student Loans 101 Workshops - The Office of the Registrar is pleased to host Student Loans 101 Workshops to help you navigate the student loan system. Attendees will apply for their Alberta Student Loan during the workshop!

Online Group Chats - Online group chats are held once a month from 7 p.m. - 9 p.m. (Mountain Time) and allow students to sign in from the comfort of their own home and ask real-time questions to University of Alberta advisors.
